Unfortunately, there are many companies that have not yet realized the importance of protecting personal data. Data security is necessary, and guarantees the rights and freedoms of people in relation to the protection of personal data.

Even at the beginning, the LGPD already impacts companies that use personal data, either due to external requirements, to follow up on agreements and negotiations; either by pressure from public entities and bodies, so that there is efficiency in complying with the law.

Certainly the LGPD has brought about considerable changes for all those who work in the processing of personal data.

Importance of data management and accountability

Data should be considered by us as the new oil, so we must treat it responsibly and in an integrated and consistent manner, being priority issues for any entrepreneur, company, entity or institution.

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) or the person in charge is responsible for meeting the demands of the holders, interacting with the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) and guiding employees and contractors on personal data protection practices. Since his role is very important, he must comply with the rules related to the law and be a mirror for those responsible for the processing of personal data. The DPO is of fundamental importance in compliance with legislation and in information security, functioning as a channel between the company and the owners of the collected data, also making a bridge with the regulatory authorities, ensuring that the determinations stipulated by the LGPD are met, avoiding problems of misuse of data.

Results of efficient management of data processing

Having an efficient management of the treatment of data and information, we will thus avoid that infractions and sanctions are applied and that transparency may be noticeable in the organization. In addition, we will prevent leaks and breaches, thus maintaining the security, protection and privacy of personal data.

It is possible to bring significant results to the company and avoid risks and losses in corporations because the lack of protection of data and information in a company or corporation has a negative impact on these issues.

Conclusion

Having a very efficient data management related to LGPD in companies, is to think about the future away from losses and non-conformities, which can bring irreparable results, losses and negative impacts related to personal data. This way, the holders will have a positive view and so they can certainly trust us to let them process their personal data without restrictions. We will treat data as precious values and always look for ways to add more protection to these items, looking for new ways to be in compliance, making everyone aware of the importance of the protection and privacy of personal data.
