Recent report published by MediaPro The result of interviews with more than 1,000 employees of US companies provides an overview of the level of awareness of internal teams regarding information security. The results point to some surprising scenarios.
1 – Professionals at managerial or higher levels showed higher risk behavior for the company when compared to the other hierarchical levels; |
2 – In the financial segment respondents had the worst result of the 7 market segments evaluated in the survey; | |
3 – When the subject is malware, about 20% of respondents failed to identify at least 1 of the top 4 signals from an infected computer;

4 – In the case of phishing email identification, 14% respondents were unable to identify malicious messages. The percentage has risen sharply compared to 8% in the 2017 report;

5 – In the area of social network security, more than 20% respondents showed a lack of care when dealing with their social networks. |
According to those responsible for the interviews and the report, the overall results for 2018 reveal a worrying trend:
